...I looked around the room and realised that practically everyone else there was gorgeous, glamorous and the average age was only 19 years of age...
...talk about feeling intimidated!
I know most people wont believe this but when I went along to try my friends new pilates/yoga fusion class last week I felt
really uncomfortable - it seems ridiculous (and abit embarrassing if I'm honest)
After all, I've been teaching Pilates for nearly 15 years!!!
However, since breaking my finger in August I've used it as an excuse and have done ZERO exercise for the last 3 months...
...But I had a rare evening off and thought I'd 'treat' myself by going along to a class as a participant - I LOVE to be the client instead of the
teacher as I think it makes me a better instructor but don't often get the chance.
So I went along and although it practically killed me! and I ached for days afterwards! It did make me realise how much I miss teaching that type of class.
When I got home I told Darren all about the class and it rekindled an idea we've been kicking around for the last ten years or so (basically ever since we stopped teaching BodyBalance at the
gym).
We finally got our act together and we start next Friday evening at The Tin Music and Arts Centre at the Canal Basin.
The class is designed to bring the week to a lovely relaxed end and will be a combination of chi gung, mobility, yoga, pilates and relaxation.
