Turning into a sloth...

Published: Tue, 12/29/15

Yes - it's happening...

I haven't done the top button of my jeans up in days...

My back was so stiff this morning after days on the sofa...(and I'm a Pilates instructor!)

I've eaten an entire cheese board to myself...

I've just about polished off a whole tin of Cadburys choccie biscuits to myself...

Managed a whole bottle of red wine to myself on Sunday night and drank countless glasses of prosecco over the preceding week...

Well...Darren's not back until the 6th Jan and he won't want all that junk hanging around tempting him when he gets back...will he?!

Not going to lie - I've loved every minute of it! That's (partly) what Christmas is all about isn't it?

I also won't lie that I was dreading the thought of a bike ride this morning - the thought of moving my sloth-like body was not at all appealing!

I had toyed with the idea of training in the garage/gym this week but knew I'd never get off that sofa if I didn't make some firm plans.

So...I booked a time with my friend to get out on our bikes today. We just did a little one and it was lovely; a bit scary on the wet roads and my legs felt like jelly at the end but we did it!

There's a very well recognised piece of advice that always comes around at this time of year and unlike most pieces of advice regarding exercise I believe this one is totally TRUE...

...make a commitment or plan to exercise with someone, anyone - a friend, partner, colleague, family member and you are far, far more likely to succeed in not just sticking to that session but to achieving your goals in the long term.

This is of course where Achieve Bootcamp comes in!

Make a plan to attend the next block of 4 weeks and you'll find that commitment of being accountable to someone will make sure you get there. (If you're not there we'll want to know why!)

The first block of the year is running slightly differently this year - we are starting the food side of things next Monday - that's the 4th January. Then the four weeks of live bootcamp will begin on Monday 11th January.

We will all start together on Monday 4th Jan with help and advice on how to get going on eating REAL FOOD. I'll be sharing recipes and ideas for getting prepped and making eating real food easy and not a chore...

...then if you're signed up for bootcamp you'll be starting your sessions having already nailed a great week of good nutrition!

I'll be back tomorrow with more info

Much love
Fran
P.S Darren is ok and looking forward to getting to Base Camp tomorrow and then heading down - he's suffering a little with the altitude x
