Good news...and...bad news

Published: Mon, 01/04/16

My alarm going off this morning was a killer...

...I think 99.9% of the population felt the same today?!

Despite my good intentions for the holidays I've been going to bed
late and lying in every morning since Christmas Eve.

I love my job so was happy to get back to it today BUT
the sound of that alarm is pure torture...

...beep...beep...beep...beep...arrrggh!

- - - - And as I had a busy day I needed to get ready, give the dogs
their main walk and get my breakfast before work...

Needless to say I got up late - I'm a sucker for the snooze button :/

After a couple mile dog walk I was STARVING and luckily...

            (imagine a fanfare of trumpets)

I'd made my frittata yesterday as part of my prep so I
had my breakfast ready!!

(imagine a smug, self-satisfied grin now)

...If I had't done that there's no way I'd have had time for breakfast
this morning and whilst I would've got through my first class there's
no doubt I'd have been stopping at the Co-op on my way to the
next clients to grab a sandwich or pastry to 'tide me over' until
lunch...

...which luckily was also already made in advance!

(second smug grin of the day!)

HOWEVER - I didn't have any dinner planned!!!!

So, after a full-on afternoon looking after my nieces (aged 1 and 4) and
still another client to see this evening (hence the late email) I caved
on the way home and got - wait for it -

   - - - -  fish and chips from the chippy!!!

Arrrrgh!

Classic rookies mistake and exactly why I went on
all weekend about being prepared for this week!

On the plus side I'd already had two really nutritious meals
today so I'm not going to worry about it - the worst thing was

--- it wasn't even very nice so the dogs got half the fish
and half the chips went in the bin

 - how DISAPPOINTING!
