Tell me what you want.

Published: Tue, 01/19/16

I mean really, really want.

Not the sort of thing you kid yourself with for a New Years Resolution.

The thing that you really want to achieve and the reason you want it.

The most common goal at this time of year is 'lose some weight'.

What does that even mean?  Some is an noncommittal figure.

If you go for a pee you lose some weight, more if you go for a poop.

Why do you want to lose weight or get fitter?

When you know your why, achieving the goal is so much easier.

Fran and I are about to sit down and go through our goals for the next 90 days.  We break them down in to sections for body, mind, relationship and business.

Ideally they will all blend in to one vision that takes us closer to the life we want to lead when we get some kids.

Body wise for me, I'm aiming at beating my performance at a duathlon I took part in last year by 20 minutes.  Being a few kilos lighter will be a benefit so I'm also going to pay more attention to my nutrition.

The fact that I'll also look sexier naked carries over in to the relationship goal ;)

In truth, looking better naked is more important than performance in the duathlon.  It is for most people we speak too they just take a bit of time to admit it.

Did you make any resolutions?

How are you getting on with them?  It's ok if the results are taking longer than you thought, be consistent and keep going.

If you need some help, let us know, even if it's just a call to help you clarify what you really want to aim for and be held accountable.
