We're nearly at the end of January.
It's crazy how fast this month has flashed by, although I was away for the first week so I think that has added to it.
We've been discussing goals a lot this week. Fran and I set out our 90 day goals last week and have been chipping away at them.
We've
been for a couple of runs to start our training for the duathlon in April.
I need to get on my bike though, I haven't done any cycling since October last year.
I keep putting it off. Using the excuse of the weather being to wet to go outside or the garage being to cold to set up the turbo.
I've always had a problem about getting on the turbo. I get bored thinking about it.
I
even bought a little projector I can take out with me to watch a movie or TV show. It took me 2 winter seasons to watch a single season of 24.
I use my attention issues as an excuse and have told myself the story that I'll be bored so many times that it now prevents me doing it.
We have a turbo that automatically follows routes and resistance levels from around the world. I'm going to set some routes when I finish this
message and aim to get on the turbo tomorrow night when Fran goes out to teach her late class.
Please hold me accountable for this. I have no excuses other than those I've built up in my own head.
We all do this, I've spoken to so many people over the years who wanted to join bootcamp but wanted to get a little fitter first. We get people fit, it's what we do.
If you want to get fit, join, don't
guess at it yourself. We will make a much bigger difference to your fitness and overall health in 8 weeks than you could going it alone for the rest of the year.
Which brings me neatly on to our 8 week challenge.
Our standard plan is 4 weeks long, however I've noticed that when people only join us for 4 weeks they slip off the wagon within a couple of months.
I want life long changes in our
members, those that stay with us at least 8 weeks maintain and improve upon their results even when they have moved on from our plan.
4 weeks is enough time to change a habit but not enough to make that habit part of the way you do things.
If you have found that you yo-yo your way through diets and fitness plans it is a great option for you.
