Damn watch

Published: Wed, 02/17/16

As you may know I added for rent rather than took away.

I decided that for the 40 days I would hit my 10,000 steps per day.

All is going well so far ... well sort of.

I've been hitting the 10,000 consistently.  My past issue was a Thursday when I have an office day.  I've switched my run to that day and I hit it easily now :)

However, I have an activity tracker on my watch.

Apparently, it's a smart watch and tracker.

Because I've been hitting my target, it has increased my target, today it's 11711.  Nearly 2000 extra, after only a week.

I could ignore the watch but I'm motivated by badges etc and the app shows a different colour if I hit my target that it sets me rather than the 10,000.

Last night, I got back out of bed and walked around the house a few times because I realised I was a couple of hundred short on the day.

I don't think I'm normal ;)

If it keeps adding steps on at the rate it is, I'll be needing 20,000+ by the end of Lent.

Do you use a fitness tracker, do you think they work?

I'd love to know.
