Following on from my post about activity trackers and getting my steps in, now up to 12,000 per day because my Garmin watch is 'smart'.
Your responses about steps and your gadgets were really interesting and funny.
Some of you suggested simply shaking the watch to up my steps at the end of the day. It works apparently.
One
person mentioned they'd also shook their steps up while eating a few biscuits :)
It was mentioned that steps increased while doing other activities that involve shaking from the wrist.
Some of you were the same as me and found that sometimes you had to get out of bed to do a few laps of the house in the evening to hit the target.
I guess we're all motivated in different ways. The hitting the number might be enough or hitting it by
specifically doing the steps might be necessary.
Some of you weren't worried about the steps at all and the trackers they received as gifts were sitting in a kitchen drawer.
A few of you did ask for recommendations for a tracker though, I'll put together a review page on our website over the next week of the top 5 used by our members.
I've only used the garmin watch, my iPhone and the basic fitbit. If you have used any of the others and don't mind
putting a few sentences together as a review it would be appreciated.
Just send a reply to this email.
If you go for make, model, price, good points, bad points, the app (if it connects to your phone) and style.
