We have a rare quiet weekend.
The rest of March is already full at the weekends with courses, kung fu gradings and our Easter trip to visit Fran's uncle.
So we're taking the opportunity this weekend to just chill out a little and get our sh!t together.
Fran tidied my office yesterday, which I really appreciate but I just can't find anything. Previously it was messy from the outside but in an organised chaos type
of way.
She's spending some time this afternoon explaining my new working environment to me :)
Since we got back from holiday our nutrition hasn't really got back to normal either. So tomorrow afternoon we'll make a plan for the next week and do some bulk cooking.
We've found it's the best way to stick with eating well. Using a couple of hours to get the bulk of our meals ready, then freezing them for convenience in the
week.
Our next fitness event is only 6 weeks away, so I'll also be planning our programmes to help keep us on track.
This is far removed from our weekends a few years ago, when we would be out on the lash till the early hours and then trying to recover ready to go out again the following night. I just can't handle the hangovers any more.
I find I'm rough for at least 2 days and that's if I follow my hangover reduction plan
;)
How do you use your weekends?
Do they take you closer or further away from your goals?
Are you simply a parent taxi? So many of our members barely get a seconds rest, ferrying the kids around in their stacked out sports and social lives.
We're officially in Spring and it is time to start taking action on weight and fitness goals for the summer months.
Our next Achieve Bootcamp starts on Monday, it's a
great way to get your exercise done in 3 focussed sessions and be guided through good nutrition that will help you win.
The guys on our 8 week transformation are doing really well and making big changes in their attitudes to food and fitness. They have said that it is knowing that they have committed to the 8 weeks that has spurred them on.
As a result, we are going to keep the 8 week option open permanently.
The extra coaching they will
be getting over their final 4 weeks will ensure they are set on the best path for them for life rather than just till they hit the end of their programme like many diets.
