Maple Syrup and Jam.

A strange breakfast but one of my favourite Prince songs; it's on my running playlist and always makes me smile when it comes on.

He died on Thursday and it's been really interesting to read the tributes etc on social media.  As always when a celebrity dies and people share their tributes, some idiots chime in that they didn't actually know the person so why are they upset.

How a person makes you feel, if you have met them in person or not, is what impacts our emotions.  I think musicians and comedians have special places in our heart because of the emotions they bring forwards in us.

Prince has been described as a musical and lyrical genius in pretty much every publication on the planet.  Eric Clapton described him as the greatest guitarist on the planet, himself classed as one of the greatest guitarists on the planet.

When he last played in the U.K. I really wanted to go, we didn't because the tickets were pricey and we were saving for something at the time.

The operative word there is 'something'.  I can't even remember what it was.

At the time I remember thinking that it didn't matter because I would see him next time.  That opportunity will never happen now.

If you want to do something and there is a way to make it happen.  Do it.

The opportunity might not be there forever.  We make excuses to ourselves all of the time and put things off for another 'time' or when we are ready.

I get emails every week from people who want to join bootcamp but will wait until they are fit (kind of misses the point of joining a group that gets you fit).

Stop putting things off, get out there and do them.

Now is as good a time as any in the future.  If it's something you can't do on your own, find somebody that can help you do it.

We have people running in the London marathon tomorrow who didn't think they'd ever be able to run that distance.  They would have been right if they didn't get started.

Don't hold back and don't let your mind hold you back, you can achieve pretty much anything you want to.
