Are you happy?
Do you deserve to be happy?
Odd questions but ones that comes up in my coaching sessions pretty much weekly with my nutrition mentoring clients.
So many of us hold back our emotions and tie them to food.
You don't need a slice of cake to be happy, you can be happy without the cake. That doesn't mean that I think you shouldn't eat cake, just that if the reason you are eating the cake / 'insert
food of choice' is to fill a hole that isn't related to hunger, there are other options.
We're conditioned to use food as an emotional crutch from an early age.
"Stop crying and you can get an ice cream when the van comes round" - that type of thing.
We need to stop that way of thinking, I'm hurting therefore I need a treat to make me feel better. Especially when the hurt is related to your size or weight.
Getting
back to my original point, there are other factors are at play too.
How about when things are going great? Body, work, kids, partner etc and you feel like something bad is about to happen as a result?
You feel like you don't deserve to be happy, that something must be wrong and that life can't actually be a joy to live.
It's bulls!t and again a preconditioned response. Almost along the lines of self
sabotage.
We all deserve to live a life full of adventure, fun and happiness.
Our past shouldn't dictate our future.
It has brought us to where we are now and was important at the time, however to truly succeed we need to put our past exactly where it belongs - in the past.
To move forward we need a new way of thinking that will take us to where we want to be.
It's not always an easy task
but we will help you in every way that we can.
We start next Monday - www.achievebootcamp.co.uk/selected
Yes it's a Bank Holiday, that just gives you more time to prepare ;)
