This week I've had a lot of conversations about priorities; particularly with mums.
Mums who are tired all of the time.
Mums who don't know where to start when trying to eat better.
Mums who are injured but haven't got the time to see anybody about it.
When it comes to priorities they are at the bottom of the list.
This isn't doing anyone in their family any good.
The lady with
the back problem could barely move, yet hadn't thought that might be slowing her down around the house. Hadn't allowed herself time to recover but couldn't really play with the kids as she was in too much pain.
If you're tired all of the time you can't be your best.
If you're not feeling great you struggle with even the most mundane of tasks.
You can't provide the people you are supporting with the best version of you.
To
do that YOU have to be the priority.
Put yourself first for a change.
Think about what YOU need to be to give everything that everyone expects of you.
You can be super, you just have to allow yourself to be.
It's ok to have some time for yourself.
Start tonight, grab a glass of wine and have a soak in the bath for 20 minutes.
20 minutes away from the chaos to recharge your
batteries isn't really going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things but it's a start.
Do something for yourself over the weekend, where your the person that is the most important.
Obviously, if you want some help with meal planning and effective exercise we start on Monday - www.achievebootcamp.co.uk
