This morning on my way to my first coaching client, I realised I was going in the completely wrong direction.
As I was driving down Humber Road, Coventry I started thinking about the tasks I need to complete before a kung fu grading I'm assessing at on Sunday.
Next thing I knew, I've taken a wrong turn and was on my way to my kung fu class.
An unconscious action that led me down the wrong path.
How often have you
done something similar?
I know when I visit my Mum, I have my hand in the sweet jar or I'm standing with the fridge door open.
Lots of our members have experienced the same, auto-behaviours.
The triggers are different for everybody.
You get upset and crack open a bottle of wine.
You get stressed and seek out the cake cupboard at work.
You don't mean to do it. It just sort of
happens.
Breaking auto-behaviours can be really hard work and take some commitment to changing.
As always, we're here to help if you're ready to make a start.
