Sticking with the sleep theme, one of the
biggest differences I noticed on my sleep tracker for the quality of my sleep was sleeping in the dark.
We have blackout blinds etc but travelling children in the night leads to an open door and light from the landing window.
As a result I wear a Sleep Mask which has really been of benefit these last few days where we’ve had to have the blind up a little to
get some air flow through the house. The sun coming through the window doesn’t affect me then at 4.30am.
Controlling the temperature of the room or you also improves the quality of sleep, having a slightly warm shower before bed actually leads to your core temperature dropping a little.
On hot nights like we’re having you can achieve the same by washing your hands, feet or face in slightly cool water.
We also have really soft lights in our bedroom and read before lights out to avoid looking a screen for 20-30 minutes before trying to sleep.
Give a go and see how you feel.
