We live incredibly busy lives and often try
to fit too much in.
Both Fran and I have felt a little rough over the last week so took things a little easier on our own training front, that doesn’t mean we’re not active though.
We took the kids to Splash Landings at Alton Towers on Saturday night as part of an Adoption UK meet up.
We got to the park early and had a wonder and play on the parks near the accommodation, had some food then did the water
park.
It’s great fun, especially now that both kids can enjoy being in the water.
As a treat, we stayed over in one of the lodges which was way better than the Star Gazing Pods. We didn’t get to bed until pretty late for us and exceptionally late for the kids.
Up early for breakfast then in to the main park, a full morning around CBeebies land and a couple of other things before heading home at lunch.
The kids just didn’t have the capacity for the big rides or the walking in between them.
A pretty much passed out before we left the car park, woke briefly for some food then crashed again. We popped in to see my Mum on the way home, he kicked off as he wanted to go home, then passed out on her bed again.
It meant he was up late again on Sunday evening but slept in until after 6.30am both mornings since.
What’s the point of this message, to let you know that it’s ok to take some time to crash and have a nap. We don’t feel bad about letting our kids rest but often berate our self for doing the same.
A 10 - 20 minute rest can do you the world of good if you allow yourself to have one.
