Than need it and not have it.
I was preparing my rucksack for a trek this morning.
During a moment of procrastination and coffee making, I flicked on FB and saw that a friend had been first on the scene to an incident where an old lady had fallen, hit her head and was unconscious.
He called 999 and went through the various details to be told the ambulance would be about 60 minutes, they were very rural. During this time, she started to come
round, was a bit confused and starting to get cold as it was raining.
A paramedic type person who lived in the village joined the group that was forming and took over the incident.
I tend to over prepare my mountain rucksack and that has worked out for me so far. Recently, I upgraded some of my kit to newer versions that take up less space and are much lighter.
As I packed my Emergency Survival Bag, I realised that rather than just keeping a couple in my rucksack, the glovebox of the car would be ideal for the situation my friend was in. This is the bag I use - https://amzn.to/3yoikN5
What bits of kit do you have “just in case”?
