We’ve been away in North Wales over the past
week and a bit, hence the radio silence.
We had a really good break with Nannie & Grandad and Fran’s sister and her family.
Lots of time on the beach, a few walks, lots of nice fooda, a couple of beers and time to switch off from the world.
I did manage to get over to Snowdon and do a “proper” hike with some friends, taking in the ridge walk of Crib Goch and Garnedd Ugain on the way up. It was a bit
twitchy and thankfully we got to the “safe” bit before the rain hammered us and got to the flattish bit before pitch darkness made it more interesting; don’t worry we did have the relevant safety kit with us though.
I haven’t got the ability to laze around to chill, getting in to the mountains, playing in the sea with the kids, kayaking, paddle boarding and having a wonder around outdoor shops and cafes all give me a real recharge of my batteries though.
I did manage to read a full fiction book over the 8 nights we were away because I was going up to bed to settle the kids from about 8.30pm and not returning back down the stairs.
It’s important for us all to take some time out of our normal routine and do stuff that adds to our energy / being / soul / chi / force.
What do you do?
