The people you surround yourself with
determine how easy it will be to achieve your goals, no matter what they are.
If you want to eat better, hang out with people who value real food.
If you want to get fitter, hang out with people who do the sort of exercise you are going to enjoy. If you aren’t sure what that is yet, try lots of stuff.
I’m “lucky”, I enjoy exercise but rarely train on my own. I’m not actually “lucky”, it’s the social
interaction I enjoy. I have friends who come to the house and we train together, them showing up keeps up my consistency.
I love going to Jiu Jitsu because I have a great workout, learn some cool stuff and get to have a bit of a rumble with some friends.
You don’t need to hang out with those people in real life now, we have the internet and all sorts of groups that encourage each other to strive towards a goal.
There are times I like to be on my own, giving my head some space to just be; however, exercise and food I enjoy so much more when others are involved.
What is your preference?
