Autumn happened today.
Yesterday, it rained and was pretty windy etc but was pretty humid and even warm. Fran and I went paddle boarding in Leamington and it was nice.
This morning, it was 6°C when I trained my 7.30am client. I had to go in and grab my jacket, the first time since possibly May.
I’m excited the weather has started to change. I struggle to train with any real intensity when it is hot.
I
generally make better progress on my goals over the winter months.
The heat just seems to zap me of mojo, that coupled with the kids not having any of their groups knocking me out of whack has led to a severe lack of ummph.
We had a nice break in Pembrokeshire last week and have hit the road quite literally running.
I went out for my first solo run in months on Monday, it felt good to have a little jog down
by the canal. I find it so calming.
On holiday, I decided to aim for the 10000 steps a day target for September. While we were away it was easy.
Being back at home it’s proving trickier. I had to walk up and down Central Six and the train station between classes last night to hit my target.
Today, my watch ran out of battery and didn’t record for a while which led to a wet family walk.
I’ve never really focussed on the step count before because I know I’m pretty active anyway and hitting 10000 steps didn’t inspire me.
What’s changed?
I found a badge on Garmin that will give me 4 points. That’s a virtual badge on an app that I rarely check 😂
It doesn’t matter what leads to you starting or finishing a goal. However, it is important to have one.
