A couple of weeks ago, we did a home-ed bread
making course.
I’ve had a couple of goes since and think I’m getting the hang of it.
Kneading the dough is pretty therapeutic and having fresh baked, still warm bread with a good spread of butter and some of Fran’s Dad’s homemade cherry jam was an amazing breakfast pudding.
Something as simple as a bit of bread and butter gave so much pleasure.
In our insta world, we spend so much time
seeing everyone’s highlight reels that we sometimes forget that we can enjoy little moments throughout the day.
Focus on those little moments, even record them, and realise that life can be pretty good without needing the latest gaming console, jacket, watch or influencer endorsed hair bobble.
Paying attention to the positives in our lives no matter how small, leaves less room for the negative.
The same is true for
nutrition, focus on adding in some things that will be beneficial rather than focusing on somebody else’s version of what is healthy and feeling bad about not achieving their ideal.
Life is for living, live it with joy.
