We all have different levels of motivation
for the different things we do in our lives.
We also have different motivators, the reason we do the things we do.
Our kids activities are starting to wrap up for the summer, so we’re trying add extra activity in to our daily routine to keep them ticking over.
Part of that is a little walk after dinner.
They both kicked off last night and said they were too tired to go. We
nearly gave up on the idea, I told A about the ducklings I had seen while running on Saturday and he was up for taking some bread down for them.
K still wasn’t convinced, I offered her a treat from the shop, not interested.
I said we needed to look at other peoples front doors to help us decided on what we will go for.
The chance to be nosey with purpose had her out of the door 😂
On the
way home, we popped in to the park and were there for over an hour, so much for being tired.
Sometimes when you don’t feel like doing some activity, just getting out of the door and getting started can lead to a really good session.
It’s just finding the motivation or discipline to get through the first steps.
Being out in nature is always a strong motivator for me, as is the promise of a breakfast or hanging out
with friends.
What gets you out there?
