I’m really grateful to know some amazing
people.
Last week, me and A got to go for a shooting lesson at Honesberie near Southam, as a treat from one of our clients.
It was brilliant and we had a great time, I’ve only ever shot on stag do’s in the past. Unsurprisingly, the level of instruction in a basement in Prague or a field in Bournemouth was basic.
“Point
that way and pull trigger” sort of stuff.
Having somebody go through the importance of stance, shoulder position, setting your ‘eye’ etc made a massive difference to the experience.
I remember the recoil and feeling liked my arm was being dislocated in Prague, nothing like that after a full session of shooting in Southam.
The same happens in health and fitness, you can get a programme or food plan off the internet
and crack on. Most of the time you’ll be ok, maybe even get some great results.
It’s only a problem when there’s a problem. Less experienced coaches who are offering cut and paste programmes might not understand what part of the programme isn’t working for or is causing you the problem.
It’s why I believe that if you are doing any sort of weight training, it’s important to meet the coach in real life to go through it and fine tune
your technique.
At the very least, a live video call while you perform the exercises to be get real time feedback. Technology has really helped us all in that aspect.
Having a professional having your back can make all the difference to your short term results and your long term health.
We’re here to help when you’re ready.
