I spoke with a friend I was treating yesterday about all things men’s health, mental health and transformations.
He runs One Wellness in Coventry and as well as being an amazing space for relaxing with contrast therapy and Pilates they host events to bring blokes together, do some exercise, eat some good food and build their community with like minded people.
If you’re on instagram check them out and go for a visit @onewellness_cv
We discussed how fitness training has it’s up and downs when you run a business and kids because priorities can shift at a minutes notice.
Then you’re 2 weeks in to not having done much.
As we know, when consistency slips so do results.
In my decades as a PT, I’ve noticed that those getting ready for an
important event have the best short term results. The difference a bride or groom can make when they realise there is only 12 weeks left is amazing.
Having a deadline really can provide the inspiration, dedication, will power, discipline or whatever word you choose to describe consistency.
Here at the start of November / Movember, we have 30 days to commit to something and make a change to our health.
As you
know, I’m a sucker for a virtual badge on Garmin, so I’m going to go for a 1 mile run AND a 1 mile walk every day.
I’ve also noticed that I’ve been a little heavy handed in the sweet drawer at my Mum’s, so I’m going to do 30 days without going in it.
For my mental health, I’ll commit to writing an email / blog per day for the full month.
I’m also going to try and grow a moustache, I’ve had my yearly wet shave this
morning and should see a shadow by the end of next week 😂
What could you commit to for the next 30 days that will make a difference to your consistency going forward?
