Our lives seem to be increasingly busy, it’s not just the time of year, we both try and fit so much in to our week and home educating our kids and their activities takes up a set amount of time too.
I have a problem of wanting to help everybody that asks, which results in me rushing around and taking time away from my activities or family.
This isn’t a moan. I love the speed at which my life happens, it suits my need to be busy, for significance and stops me over thinking everything.
It’s a reminder that I nearly missed writing this message again because I was about to settle down for an evening on the sofa with Claudia Winkleman when I remembered I hadn’t sent one.
I pencilled in a time this afternoon, forgetting the fact that we had my Mum over for lunch and we’d
booked the light trail at Warwick Castle. Even in the rain and with K racing around it was magical, It would be a good way to start getting festive, maybe remortgage your house if you want a hot chocolate and some food at the end though 😉
So my reminder to myself is also a reminder to you, the next 4 weeks become chaotic for most families, please try to take a few minutes each day to simple be. Read an article, a few pages of fiction, watch something
funny on socials, sit in the car for a few minutes before going back in the house and listen to your favourite music. What ever floats your boat, allow yourself that glimmer of time, it will give you so much back.
My glimmer is wqriting this with a tulsi tea in the kitchen while everyone else is getting ready for bed and the sofa.
