It’s the final day of Movember and my little challenge.
I have managed to run 1 mile each day, walk 1 mile each day. Although for transparency, some runs were walks and some walks were runs, depending on food status, if I had a tag a long with me and time available.
I didn’t go in my Mum’s sweet drawer but did have a couple of sweet
before they made it in to the drawer on a couple of top up days.
I wrote 29 out of 30 messages, the day I missed was purely down to time running out that day and being in bed already when I remembered.
What should you do when you reach a goal?
Pick something else to aim towards.
One of the main problems I see when people have a date / weight based goal is that they revert to their
previous behaviours; leading to weight gain / fitness loss.
Hit one goal, move to the next.
Or have a goal so big that you have to evolve to achieve it, something where the goal constantly adapts as you move towards it.
I’ve really enjoyed getting out for the mile walk, especially on the days when we’ve blagged the kids to have a wonderful around the village with us to see if anyone has put their lights up
yet.
Getting them out for a walk has led to some really nice chats as we’ve wondered around. It can be hard getting them out of the door but it has always been worth it.
Just because it’s December tomorrow, don’t give up on your goals until January. Chip away and keep doing what you can.
