I think the greatest part of social media is the memories section.
Today, there were posts about sledging with the kids, K doing herself a tattoo to match mine, mountains climbed, sun rises and the afore mentioned drunken activities.
The pole dancing was from a work trip to Thailand to write The Real Food Plan, our nutrition book and
programme, and the membership side of our bootcamp website. During the 10 days, the work load was intense, I wrote around 80,000 words and the group I was with did similar.
We only had one night out to explore Patong, which turned out to be plenty. One bar had “dancing poles” on the bar and I’d never tried one before, so had a go with my friend P. It was early in the evening and the bar wasn’t very busy, meaning I didn’t get any “tips”.
Drinking from a shoe, happened on my stag do in Slovakia. I’m not really sure what led to it, other than it being part of a drinking game. It wasn’t a decorative glass shoe either, it was the shoe that I’d been wearing all weekend, in fact, for a few months. It gets worse, every person on the stag drank from that shoe and I’m pretty sure a bar man 🤦♂️
Looking back at the things we’ve enjoyed and experienced, from sun rises and
mountains to drinking shoes and dancing poles gives us the opportunity to smile. Something that we should all focus on doing more regularly.
It also gives you the opportunity to see how life changes and if the direction you are heading in is one that you want to keep going in or if you need to alter course.
If you need any help planning your destination or navigating your way to your goal, we can help.
