I had to google what the meaning of pink pony club was, I really am getting old đ
Itâs a really catchy tune and I wanted to check before our kids started banging it out at the top of their voices in Tesco.
According to the internet, itâs essentially a place where you feel safe being who you are, largely for the LGBT community but the
sentiment stands in general I think.
On Friday, I was at Alton Towers for a quarterly catch up with my coach, Paul Mort, and a load of my friends I donât get to see often enough.
Itâs a review of the past three months, some tools to use mindset wise and some inspiration on planning goals for the next three months.
Inadvertently, Paul has created a Pink Pony Club. Â A safe space where people can share their wins
without judgement and more importantly where people can ask for help with their struggles and feel supported by everyone there.
If anybody has similar struggles or experience in overcoming them, their support is welcome without ego clouding the process.
Paul asked us to share our 10 biggest wins of the quarter on social media in the hope that it inspires others to either do the same, or aim for something similar.
Here are mine in no particular order.
1. Â âAâ swam a full width underwater on holiday. Â It took nearly 8 years after him moving in for him to put his face in water, a massive win.
2. Â Qualified in Acupuncture.
3. Â Had a Basal Cell Carcinoma removed from my cheek and now rock an Action-Man style scar.
4, Â Completed our latest round of sensory therapy with âAâ
and have a much better relationship with him as a result.
5. Â âKâ & âAâ had a crossbow and shotgun lesson as a gift from a very generous client. Â It was âKâsâ first time and she rocked it.
6. Â Two family holidays, Devon and Isle of Water.
7. Â My Junior Black Belt Instructors leading a section of a whole association grading confidently.
8.
Behind the scenes at SeaLife Weymouth.
9. Â âKâ & âAâ doing the glass walk of the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, 100m high.
10. Â Didnât train in Jiu Jitsu for nearly 8 weeks because of face surgery and think Iâve handled it well and not been too moody; Fran may disagree đ Â
Your wins are personal to you, they donât have to be spectacular. Â
Number 8 cost about
ÂŁ20.00 and is available to anybody, it was a quiet day and we were on our own and the kids loved it, it was a real highlight of my quarter.
Feel free to share some of yours.
