Fran had a rearrange of our pots in the garden at the weekend to try and ripen the tomatoes she had planted.
Inconveniently for me, she moved them under the pull up bar I hang my suspension straps from.
Inconvenient because I press my heels against the wall when I’m using them for press ups.
Not having the wall
there meant I had to use my core to stabilise instead, which exposed a weakness I didn’t know I had.
As soon as I got into position, my whole body swayed around to the left, it took a few sets to prevent that happening and get my body doing it’s job properly.
It got me thinking about the people I’ve seen in gyms recently, following programmes one their phones that hopefully somebody has written for them but not necessarily watched them
performing any of the exercises.
It’s cool to have an online coach, I know some amazing ones but at some point they have to see you doing each exercise not just send you a link to an app or video on YouTube. Ideally, they see you in real life too.
If you need any help with programming and exercise selection, just ask.
