We’ve just had a lovely couple of days around Ironbridge, exploring the history of the area.
Yesterday, we were in the village of Ironbridge and had a walk over the bridge itself, took in a couple of museums and had a potter around the shops.
When the kids started to fade, we brought them round with the offer of a snack and hot
chocolate in a cafe, K had spotted one with a private sofa area she wanted to go to.
The cakes at the counter looked amazing and we were assured they were all homemade. Fran went for a chunk of tiffin, a favourite from her childhood.
I couldn’t decide between a Cherry Bakewell flavoured sponge cake and an apple pie with custard. I left the decision to the lady serving us and went to sit down.
When she
came out she had brought a “sliver” of both and said she couldn’t stand indecision; bonus for me. She did bring a cake box to take one away with me, although I’m not sure the custard would have worked in the box, forcing my hand.
Sometimes when trying to choose the best way to go, taking a bit of time to think it through can mean that the options you had are taken away from you and your decision is forced.
This can be a good
thing.
This can be a bad thing.
In reality, it’s just a thing and it will turn out ok in the end.
