We’ve just got back from a fantastic weekend in Hunstanton aka Sunny Hunny according to a local guide book.
We were pretty lucky with the weather, it only poured with rain when we were indoors and we did get plenty of time out on the beach and prom, it was windy but that added to the seaside feel.
We were away for a big meet up with
Frans Dads family; the three brothers with their children, partners and grandchildren, 33 in total made it.
Coincidentally, it was K’s birthday while we were there, which she took full advantage of and hijacked it as her birthday holiday and received some extra gifts.
Being a seaside town, there was lots of options for tasty treats as we walked along the beach front; highlights included a deep fried Oreo cookie (basically a hot donut
with an Oreo where the jam would be), a Belgian bun that was as big as A’s head and a Sherry Trifle Cheesecake.
As you can tell, my tooth errs on the side of sweet 😉
Food is a social thing for me and I like to be able to have freedom when I’m out with friends and family. To do so, I try to stick to the basics the rest of the time.
Our meals at home are generally made from scratch with lots of vegetables
always available.
I drink plenty of water and rarely drink any calories.
I do some form of exercise most days; a strength circuit, Jiu Jitsu, a bike ride, a walk. Not always intense but something that gets me moving and out of the house.
I could do better and my physique would show the results, I’m not currently in a place where that is a goal though.
