We lost an hour yesterday due to British Summer Time, how do you feel as a result?
An hour isn't really that much to lose from sleep, there were nights when I was younger when I barely got an hour at the weekends. The joy of Red Bull out lasting the vodka ;)
Most people wouldn't have really noticed yesterday, such is the pace of life on a Sunday. Apologies to my clients who I got to go on a bike ride with me at 8am (7am old time), also
forgetting that it was Mother's Day and maybe a lie-in was deserved.
Today would have been the hard day to get through, with trying to go to sleep an hour earlier last night and back to the dark mornings to wake up.
You probably found that you were hungrier than usual, particularly for the sweet carby stuff.
This highlights how important sleep or more importantly good quality sleep is to our overall health.
Perceived stress is higher when sleep is
poor.
You're more likely to get injured and repair more slowly when you are burning the candle at both ends. I had this discussion with one of my NeuroMuscular Therapy™ clients today. They are training and working very hard, which is leading to under-recovery and little niggles developing.
It's nearly 8.30pm, so that's it from me tonight. All technology off, yellow shades to watch a little TV then early to bed to read before lights out at 10.30pm.
A
tulsi tea as a treat, should set up a good nights sleep.

P.S. We are on a training walk to summit Snowdon at the weekend. This is the last walk that non 3 Peaks Challengers will be allowed to join us on, I'll send some more details out tomorrow.
