As you know I help people with injuries and pains that they have not found ref lief with through other methods.
I'm a NeuroKinetic Therapist™, a sports massage therapist and have an extensive background in corrective exercise and sports biomechanics. I also have a background in martial arts and have studied some of the Eastern methods of medicine and therapy.
However, I have been stuck with a client. We just weren't getting to the underlying
issue and his strength wasn't returning.
In short, it was doing my head in. We would get a temporary fix only for the problem to be back the following day.
So I asked for help.
I'm fortunate enough to know some of the best coaches and therapists in the world, I have spent time studying and training with them the 18 years that I have been in the health and fitness industry.
This afternoon, a fresh set of eyes looked at my client through the wonder of
Skype.
It was a fantastic session and my client had zero pain and a much greater range of smooth motion by the end of the session.
I had basically missed the wood for the trees. Getting too caught up in the details rather than taking a step back to basics.
I see the same thing happening with nutrition programmes every day. People getting caught up in the
details of fat content, amino acids, macro and micro nutrients and supplements. Without first addressing the basics of stopping eating crap and getting lashed up every weekend.
I consult with some other trainers when they are stuck with their clients results. Often it is too much focus on the details without getting the essentials and behaviours in place first.
A fresh set of eyes is a great thing.
If you are struggling with any aspects of health and fitness and would like someone to have a look at where you could be going wrong ask an expert, not your mate who lost some weight or looks fit. It will save you time, energy and money in the long run.
Our next Achieve bootcamp starts on Monday 28th April, we will
teach you systems to get your nutrition and fitness focussed.
That way you have less stress about looking good in the summer, which is only about 12 weeks away. Although the weather over the next few days is meant to be pretty fine.
