I don't think anyone in the country has failed to be inspired by Stephen Sutton who sadly passed away yesterday. Just last week Darren and I watched him setting a world record on the Midlands news - ticking one more thing off his bucket list.
Last night I was listening to a podcast where the guest said a turning point in his life had been when he met a terminally ill man who had been given three years to live. This man had made the vow to live
each day as his last so that he would truly make the most of his remaining time. His opinion was - why wouldn't everyone live that way anyway?
We're all aware of our own mortality; just because we don't know the 'when' or the 'how' doesn't mean it won't happen - we know death is unavoidable and could happen at any time.
Whilst I don't advocate dwelling on this topic - I've done this in the past to the point where it's kept me awake at night - it doesn't hurt to
be reminded by people like Stephen that maybe the time IS now.
I'm reminded of this daily by the people we work with. Of course at Achieve we're always looking to work with action-takers who are ready to tackle their health and fitness challenges with our help and support but this philosophy can be applied to anything in life not just fitness!
Members of Team Achieve have gone on to new careers, ditched toxic relationships, finally got control of their food issues and many
other non-fitness related achievements - Catherine and Ian are just about to emigrate to Australia! They're not doing this because they came to Bootcamp; they came to Bootcamp because they're the type of people who would up-sticks and move to the other side of the world to follow their dream.
If you're this sort of person and are ready to join Team Achieve you can apply here
