Time, it's the one commodity that we can't get back. Apart from during last night's quirky British Summer Time turning the clocks back.
What did you do with your extra hour?
We had a Sunday lie-in. I work early every morning, I'm
naturally a get up and go in the morning type of guy. It's something that winds Fran up. Sunday lie-ins just don't happen, I'm normally fidgeting by 6.30am.
I try to get out on my bike, the intention was there this morning. I had planned to ride with my mate and training partner Colin but he looked tired last night so I decided I needed a rest too :)
I didn't set an alarm and woke up at 8am new time / 7am old time, had a play on the internet while Fran dozed then we got up and took the dogs out for their long walk. We went out on our mountain bikes so I had a chance to ride my new bike.
Then back to tidy my shed, mow the lawns and head out for lunch by 12. It was a great start to the day. A lie-in that didn't waste any time
:)
The extra hour will still be in your body clock for a few more days, you can use that to your advantage.
Try to get to bed at the clock time you are used to, then get up at the real time you are used to. That will be an hour earlier than usual on the clock.
Use that time to
prepare your meals for the week or at least get a decent breakfast in, I'm excited about our breakfast tomorrow, I'll tell you why tomorrow. Maybe get a workout in or at least a little mobility and stretch routine to wake your system up.
Don't just put the pillow over your head and wait until the clock says the time that you want to wake up.
Get up
and start building habits to a better you and a healthier lifestyle.
Obviously you can put a little pressure on yourself by joining us a Achieve bootcamp in the morning. Everybody will be extra chirpy tomorrow with the extra hour they have :)
