The media is full of quick fixes for weight loss and fitness at this time of year. Most of it simply recycled from last year.
Some new concepts will be highlighted, some supplements peddled as all you need to achieve your goals and just like last year - it is all crap.
There are no miracle cures.
No single exercise that trump all the others, although Burpees would come pretty close.
Most offer short term results over long term health, at Team Achieve we go with long term health as our goal and because of this we get amazing results quickly that last long
term.
This New Years Day, do something different. Take a photo of yourself in swimwear from the front, back and both sides.
Use that as your starting point, then each month do the same and finally take them again on New Years Eve 2015, that way you should really be able to see a difference.
Don't worry about the differences you can make over 9 or 10 days, focus more on the big picture and improving your health long term.
We will also be taking circumference measurements of all of our members each month to check that they are heading in the right direction.
We've invested in some medical grade scales too, that way
we can be sure that they are accurate. Not like the ones you have in the bathroom that can change by 7lbs by breathing in.
I'll send some more details about our measurement session tomorrow.
