Be persistent and consistent

Yesterday was the final chance for my Kung Fu students to grade this year.  They all did really well and I am proud of every single one of them for the work that they put in over the months to get ready for their grading.

Some students have pick things up more quickly while other take a little more time and nurturing to grasp the skills and abilities required of them.  The thing that shines through from both types of students is that they all get there in the end.

The students that struggle to pick things up don't stop because it's difficult.  They keep going, they keep trying and show that they want to get to their next level.

The students who pick things up easier don't just cruise they consistently try harder to improve on the abilities they already have.

We develop our assistant instructors to find different ways to teach, everybody learns in a different way it is the role of the teacher to find the way that works best for each student.

We find the same with our Team Achieve members, when they first come to us they have been persistent at try to lose weight; they have tried 'every' diet out there.

However, persistence with different diets doesn't work.

There needs to be some consistency with one method to find out if it works.  We educate our members about various diets and why they may not have worked for them but their friends were successful.  We help them develop their own nutrition plan that they can follow consistently for the rest of their lives.

This will be the focus of our 8 week challenge at the start of 2015.

I'll post more details later this week.  I broke our website last week and just need to get that sorted first.
