Internet gremlins sent Fran's message again. It was worth reading again though so all good.
It's Valentines Day so you probably think I'm being Pervy ;)
I'm am referring to bed time activity but not in a shades of grey way.
Fran and I have a a super-king size bed at home, it's massive. To be honest it barely fits in our bedroom, but it's so worth it.
As a follow on from Fran's sleep blogs, the size of your bed or more importantly the freedom of movement you have in bed counts.
We're away for a romantic weekend in London (read helping our friends on a stand
at the London Bike and Triathlon Show - geek heaven) and the place we are staying has a standard double bed.
Which starts off okay but within minutes there are arms and legs everywhere and awkward joint locks being held. As the night goes on the heat produced becomes too much for me and I start bubbling away thinking about opening the window.
It means sleep isn't as restful as it normally would be. I know it seems a bit bah-humbug and I should be pleased to be thrust into the arms of my wife on a Valentine's weekend. I am but would like to have a little space to sleep comfortably too.
What's your bedroom environment like?
Is it set up to promote good sleep or are you clambering for space to feel comfortable?
I can't recommend getting a big bed enough, get the biggest one you can fit in the space available.
Bedrooms should be places for sleep and loving; not watching TV, exercise, working on a laptop or Christian Gray activities - keep them for the garage ;)). A book
before bed is fine (as long as they are not backlit) and they don't take up space that could be used for a bed.
If you find you sleep better when you stay in a hotel and look forward to the big bed, it might be time to upgrade.
