Unlucky 13th

So Today is Friday 13th, the day when everybody worries about bad things happening.

It is a Friday though, the day everybody has been looking forward to all week.

So what do we do?  Stay in hoping to not trap our hands in the washing machine and being thrown around in circles in the kitchen.  Or head out for a night on the town and hope that you on't slip on an ice cube and falling on the floor with your legs in the air to realise you went commando.

The truth is, superstitions can be silly but they still have an affect on your actions.  I still hop while saying white rabbits when I walk on a three-in-a-row man hole cover; thanks for that Lou.  I just try to disguise it.

We have these set routines and habits that have been placed in our heads by superstitions.

To be successful on a diet or fitness plan, that is exactly what you need to do. 

Get the habits in to your head so they become automatic.  

Making a more informed choice in a restaurant is simply a habit.  

Going for a walk every morning is simply a habit.

It just takes a bit of effort to build that action in to a habit but it is worth the effort.

The people doing the Daily Lent Challenge have told me how much they are enjoying it and that it has simply become part of their day.  That was the purpose to build a daily habit of activity.
