Having a clear out

Published: Sat, 03/14/15

Fran and I are having a bit of a spring clean over the weekend.

Our spare room has been a dumping ground for a couple of years now and we can barely see the floor.  'Stuff' has accumulated, we have old phones, gadgets, books, duvets, roller blades and boots, boxes of wires and cables and we've only got about a third of the way in.

By default I'm a hoarder, so going through and not just finding somewhere different to put it rather than the bin or charity bag is difficult.

We've been going for a couple of hours now and it's starting to get easier to simply get rid of things as I lose the will to live :)

Paperwork and files is the next task in there.  Which is why I 'suddenly' remembered about the newsletter.  I'm thinking that it will be a nightmare and I'll need to head out and buy an archiving system, more distractions :)

However, I'm feeling positive that we are making progress, step-by-step, cable-by-cable.  I'm confident that the room will be clear and given a breath of new life by the end of the day.  We just have to be consistent and crack on.

A bit ike how I've been approaching my diet over the past few weeks, being consistent and cracking on.  Although their have been some distractions on that too, I have found my way back to the task at hand pretty quickly.

Be consistent with any diet or exercise programme you follow and you will get results.  If your finding that hard to do it may be time to give your exercise and nutrition a bit of a spring clean and try a new approach.
