Where do you read yours?

Somebody unsubscribed from my email blogs yesterday, it's hard to believe I know but it happens :)

Some people find it strange that I write emails daily with free tips to improve health or disagree with some of the things I say.

It's not a problem, the reason this lady gave though has concerned me about myself recently.

She didn't have time to read them.  I know sometimes I jabber on a bit, not nearly as much in text as in real life, but generally they only take a few minutes to read.

If you're struggling to find a few minutes to read an email you have lost balance in your life.

I'm writing this as a reminder to myself as much as anybody else.  Things at Team Achieve have been getting a little overwhelming, we have the whole adoption thing going on and some idiot keeps signing up for ridiculous events at weekends.  In case there is any doubt, I'm that idiot.

Time management is something I have always struggled with, my primary school teachers even mentioned it in my reports.  I tend to take on too much and don't like to say no, a common fault of the self-employed apparently.

If life is becoming too busy and a little overwhelming, it's time to take stock and chill out a little.  Give yourself 5 minutes to sit down and prioritise the tasks you have to achieve and put them in order of importance.

5 minutes planning will save plenty of time running around aimlessly later in the day.  I like my job lists as I feel like I'm getting somewhere with every tick.

Some people have a problem with over-listing though and avoid the important things by putting them on another list for the next day.

I stick to 4 things I have to get done that day and I'm happy.  Give it a go and see how you get on.

As far as reading emails go, that's what toilet trips and iPhones are for, multi-tasking :)

Where do you read this message in general?
