A new relationship

 It's exciting at first.

A whole new world of experiences.

Something new to touch and squeeze.

New bumps and textures to run your hands over.

New feelings and tastes in your mouth.

I'm obviously talking about starting a new diet and the different foods you can be tempted to try - or not try.  There are too many diets that don't focus on food at all but some shake or dodgy supplement range.

We stick with what we know has worked for thousands of years.  Food as close to its natural state as possible.

We focus on coaching our members in to this new world of food and drink that they have been led to believe are bad.

Coaching and education is a major part of what we do through our programmes.  Our members often text from the supermarket or restaurant to check up on ingredients; that way they make informed decisions around their food choices.

This works long term.

One of our online food plan members finished her first 4 weeks yesterday.  Her results arrived in my inbox this morning.  She has achieved so much, the numbers are good but the most important result to us is that her relationship and mindset around food and mealtimes has changed.

So my 28 day results ...
I have lost 4.3kg
And the following inches -
1 off each arm
0.5 off each calf
2 off each thigh
3 off my chest
3 off my hips
5.5 off my waist

In the past I've been the person who wants results and wants them fast. I've done 14 weeks of shakes only and lost 4.5st, great numbers right? But I'm back where I started, noones fault but my own. I knew I had to change my mindset and I feel I have. Some people may say, oh but your numbers aren't massive, not me ... I say my numbers are brilliant for someone who already exercises, in a big way and someone who has always had an unhealthy relationship with food.

Exercising in a big way is an understatement, she does some serious weight training and over the past four weeks has also smashed some serious PB's in the gym.

Changing your relationship with food and exercise is an important step in the process of life long results.  However, the most important relationship to address is that with yourself.

How you see, speak about and feel about yourself has a massive impact on the result you will achieve.  More about that tomorrow.

P.S.  Today's Daily Lent Challenge - The final week of the daily challenge, lets start with a good workout.

10 Squats, 10 Press  Ups, 10 Burpees then
9 Squats, 9 Press  Ups, 9 Burpees then
8 Squats, 8 Press  Ups, 8 Burpees and so on until you reach only 1 rep of each.
Simple but brutal.
