Making space

Published: Sat, 04/04/15

We're spending the weekend making our spare room a room again rather than the dumping ground it has been over the past 6 years.

You might recall we started this job a few weeks ago, this led to us realising that it could do with a lick of paint and a new carpet.

When clearing the room, we decided we might as well clear the loft, just to add a little more pressure on ourselves :)

So far, I've ripped out the old carpet, painted the skirting boards, done the first coat of paint on the walls, emptied most of the loft and prepared it for putting boards down.

It feels good to finally be making headway in to the tasks we laid out.  Having a clear plan of action has definitely helped.

It's the same with diet and exercise, it's much easier to achieve something if you know exactly what is required and have a plan of action.

Making headway in to the tasks is also quite cathartic and providing head space in our heads.  Like a mental spring clean.

P.S.  Today's Daily Lent Challenge - Get outside and cover at least 3 miles, it doesn't matter how.  The sun is peaking through at random times through out the day, I'd aim for one of those.
