Love is all you need ...

​I was studying with a world class strength and conditioning coach at the weekend.  

​The course was focussed on nutrition and in particular the Ketogenic diet, a high fat, medium protein, low carb approach.  The data looked good, although the approach may be a little difficult for 'normal' people.

We're going to experiment with it in August following the current phase we're on, I'll let you know how it goes.

However, he mentioned something that I found really interesting and something I have written about previously.

Love.

Without love in your life, he explained, you're fighting a losing battle on the health and weight loss front.  A few of the younger trainers seemed skeptical and thought they had booked on a course with a crazy hippy.

I agreed with him.

That doesn't mean that you have to run out and join a dating website if you are single.  Or dump your partner if you are unhappy.

The most important love you need in your life and as George Benson sang is 'to learn to love yourself'.

Get past the negative self-talk, the self-lothing, the feelings of unworthiness.  

Because you are worthy of happiness and the results you desire, you deserve to be happy.  

Anybody that tells you otherwise needs to take up less time and space in your life.

If you struggle to see your strengths, start by surrounding yourself with people who are positive and will see them for you.  Listen to those who compliment you and accept those compliments graciously.

Get started today.

I have a little task for you today; which part of your body are you happy with.  It could be your shoulders, eyes, arse, finger nails, anything really.

You will have one bit that you look at and think, 'yep, pretty happy with that'.
