I had a brief nutrition mentoring call yesterday with somebody interested in using our services.
They had been working with a personal trainer earlier this year
and found they were exercising hard and eating a really 'healthy' diet without much reward in the results department.
They had plateaued and the trainers response was to tighten up the diet and beast them even harder in the gym.
We work a little differently to that.
Hard exercise and a strict diet will work for some people, it will makes others gain weight and feel crap all of the time.
This isn't a criticism of their previous trainer. I used to be the same, harder work and lower calories were the staples of PT school.
They forgot to mention it rarely
works in the real world.
Every single person on the planet is different, in fact, we're a completely different person than we were yesterday from a hormonal and cell structure point of view.
With that in mind, it is naive to think that one diet and exercise method will work for everybody.
I know that I run much better on fats and proteins, more like a diesel engine. I have a friend who falls asleep within the hour if we eat the
same meal; they function much better on a higher proportion of carbs, like a petrol engine.
We both do well with veggies.
We
encourage our members to find what works for them while adopting our principles.
Those being to eat predominantly real foods that are not processed.
It's simple really, eat food and find the correct proportion of food types to make you
feel good.
Unfortunately, the media and the weight loss industry make it more confusing on purpose. They can then sell you the quick fix over and over again.
We know what to do, we don't allows do it though.
That's where we can help.
You learn exactly what works for your body and the foods that make you feel great.
On Monday we start our 6
Week Summer Challenge. The aim of the challenge to finish the summer with a smaller or a least the same size waist that you started with.
Damage limitation.
The summer months should be the easy time to lose weight, with all of
the tasty salad options on offer.
However, every salad has an ice-cream buddy to tempt you in the heat. There's nothing wrong with having an ice-cream when it fits in your plan. There needs to be a plan in place though.
It's not
uncommon to gain over a stone during a beach holiday, we can teach you how to avoid that happening.
If you want some help over the summer months go to www.achievebootcamp.co.uk, the button to apply is at the bottom of the screen.

PS A few people mentioned that they had tasted greens drinks before and they were foul. I agree that some are disgusting. We have gagged at the sink in the past with some of the early ones we tried. The guys at www.getleanwithgreens.co.uk have formulated there's based on taste and smoothness in the glass.
There are more
potent ones out there but this one is a great way to get started.
