Every week I have a fight.
It's a semi-controlled fight with one of my martial arts training buddies. We've been training together for over 25 years.
It's also why we include boxing sessions in our bootcamps, you feel so much better after giving something a whack.
Over the summer, Graham isn't available for our weekly rumble and I really notice it. We don't fight with aggression but we do have a good bit of contact, it is my "release" from the weeks pressures and stresses.
So this week I found a new method of release. Smashing a wall down.
Our boiler was updated recently, which left us without a shower. It was connected to the old system and didn't have a water supply to the new boiler.
It means that we now need to upgrade our ensuite. Thus smashing tiles off, which led to noticing the plaster wasn't in very good shape and knocking the wall out.
By taking everything right back, I will have chance to prepare the area properly.
I will also be able to take my time with fitting the new bits, with a little help from some friends with the relevant skills of course.
What has this got to do with weight loss.
It's time to update your system. Most people fail on
weight loss programmes because they are trying to keep using the systems, often old ones, that have failed previously and have no connection to where they are now.
A diet that worked in your 20's is unlikely to work in your 40's. You are a completely new person on a biological and emotional scale.
There is also a tendency to hold on to the
comforts or pains of the past and the behaviours that they shaped. You don't need to be defined by your past, you can move on to a new system and achieve much better results and water pressure :)
I meet so many people whose relationship with food is dysfunctional as a result of childhood experiences. It's a long journey but one we can help you with.
I know I haven't got the relevant skills to do the electrics and stuff with a boiler but my friends do.

P.S. The trial offer on greens is running until Monday, if a greens drink is something you have been thinking about adding to your plan, check out www.getleanwithgreens.co.uk. The trial offer is for a 2 weeks supply of their greens drink for only £7.00. You can get it here -
Greens Trial.
If you haven't tried greens drinks before this one is a good introduction and a way of getting extra green vegetables in to your diet. It tastes good compared to most out there.
