Give them a call

Published: Fri, 09/25/15

A close friend's Dad died quite suddenly yesterday.

I've spent the afternoon at their house to provide a bit of a distraction and offer support.  She is a friend I don't see very often but we both know that we will always be there for each other.

Friendships can be like that.

You might not see a friend regularly, particularly when geography makes it more difficult but when needed you will move mountains to be there for them and their families.

A short message tonight, just to say if you have a friend you don't see or speak to very often give them a call.  Have a chat for the sake of having a chat rather than speaking because something sad has happened.

It would be worth a call to your parents too if you still have them.  Life can be sh!t and can change without warning.

Let the people you care about know that you care about them.

Let go of any anger you have towards anyone or any groups; life really is too short.

Her Dad was an amazing bloke and will be missed by many.
